How do I book a ferry ticket?

You can book directly on our website by selecting your date, passenger count, and completing the booking form. You'll receive instant confirmation via email.

Are all bookings round-trip?

Yes! All our tours include round-trip ferry service (to Mykines and back). This ensures you have transportation both ways.

Can I modify my booking?

To modify your booking, please contact us at info@mykines.fo or call +298 21 08 70. We'll do our best to accommodate changes based on availability.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Full refund if we cancel due to weather.

How do I get my tickets?

You will receive your tickets via email immediately after booking. Please bring your confirmation email for boarding.

What does the tour include?

The tour includes sightseeing past Mykines, Múlafossur, Dranganir and Tindhólmur.

Where does the ferry depart from?

Jósup departs from Sørvágur Harbor. Parking is available nearby.

How many passengers does the ferry hold?

Jósup is approved for 88 passengers.

What can I do on Mykines?

Mykines is known for its rich birdlife and breathtaking nature. There is an option to join organized hiking tours with guides.

Do I need to pay to hike on Mykines?

Yes, if you wish to go beyond the gates, a mandatory hiking fee is required. Pay 400 DKK at hiking.fo before departure or 500 DKK by card on the island.

What should I bring to Mykines?

Good clothing and sturdy shoes. The weather is very changeable.

What are the ticket prices?

Adults (16+ years): 600 DKK per person. Youth (0-15 years): 300 DKK per person. Prices include round-trip ferry with sightseeing on the return journey.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our online booking payment system accepts most payment cards.

When will I be charged?

Your card will be charged immediately upon completing the booking. You'll receive a confirmation email with your booking details.

What if the weather is bad?

Tours are weather dependent. If we cancel due to weather, you will receive a full refund automatically.

How will I know if the tour is cancelled?

We will contact you via email as early as possible if weather conditions require cancellation. We recommend checking your email the evening before and morning of your departure.

What is the best time of year to visit?

The ferry operates from May to August. The best time to see puffins is from May to mid-August. June and July have the longest daylight hours and typically better weather.
